French fries

French fries, also known as french fries, are a delicious classic ideal for your weekend get-togethers with friends or family – everyone will love them!

Ingredients

  • 4 Selma Farms® Chipping Potatoes for Frying
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Salt to taste

Preparation

  1. Peel and cut into thin, uniform strips, about 1 centimeter wide, you can leave the skin on if you prefer potatoes with more texture.
  2. Soak the potatoes for 30 minutes, drain and pat dry with paper towels to make the potatoes crispier when frying.
  3. In a deep fryer or deep fryer1 heat enough vegetable oil over medium-high heat, it should be enough to submerge the potatoes.
  4. When the oil is hot (about 175-190°C or 350-375°F), add a handful of potato strips into the hot oil.
  5. Fry the potatoes in small portions so that they cook evenly.
  6. Fry the potatoes for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Place them on a plate with paper towels to remove excess oil.
  8. Sprinkle with salt to taste.
  9. Serve the french fries hot and enjoy them with your favorite sauces, such as ketchup, mayonnaise, or a special sauce of your choice.
